A father was sitting in a taverna LAMENTING that his only child (now an adult) had become such a mess. He told the reporter interviewing him that he 'was still looking for answers as to what went wrong'. Q1: did you play a role in causing this child to be born? Father: absolutely! Q2: did you then do your bit to ensure that the interests of your child would be safeguarded? Father: absolutely! Q3: what did you do? Father: well, I wrote some editorials, published a magazine and poured some concrete on a South Goa beach. What else could I do? Q4: and with ALL that you did, is your child happy and content today? Father: well, the journalist in me is still trying to determine that. Q5: could it be said that you NEGLECTED the child you caused to be born? Father: how so? Q5: by not preparing for the arrival and future development of your child? Father: I got to go. Arre Foranshik, mujem bill kitlem re? (Father pays and heads out of the taverna) jc
