Philanthrophy in its truest sense does not mean only the giving away of large amounts of money or large estates. That is easy to give when one has much. What one has that is in limited supply is one's time on earth. And when one chooses to give of that liberally, for an altruistic cause, in this case Goan social capital (thanks to Frederick Noronha for popularizing that phrase), then the person giving must be celebrated.
