Re: SOUL Team has organised a candle light morcha on Saturday, January 05
which begins at 7.30 p.m from St. Anthony's Church , Marve Road, Malwani Malad
West and will end with a public meeting and power point presentation at Infant
Jesus Church, Kharodi, Marve Road, Malad West.
Our Demands:
Permanently withdraw notices of acquisition to!!!!
· St. Joseph High School Grounds, Kandivali
· Our Lady of Assumption Church, Kandivali
· St Anthony's Church Malwani, and
· Allot Land for the Cemetery on the Eastern side of the Western Suburbs.
On December 20th a delegation along with Mr. Julio Rebeiro met with Mr.
Sitaram Kunte, the Municipal Commissioner to discuss the issues listed above.
A memorandum was also handed over to the Municipal Commissioner along with the
first lot of 30,000 signatures.
Mr. Sitaram Kunte assured the delegation that he will investigate the facts
presented to him and personally do the site visits to both the Churches, Our
Lady of Assumption and St Josephs' High School, Kandivali and St Anthony's
Church, Malwani, Malad West and will convey his decisions to the concerned.
Till date, the Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner has not visited the respective
sites.
As part of the ongoing agitation to find a positive resolution to the above
issues, a candle light morcha has been organised on Saturday, January 05 which
begins at 7.30 p.m from St. Anthony's Church, Marve Road, Malwani, Malad West
and will end with a power point presentation and a public meeting at Infant
Jesus Church, Marve Road, Kharodi, Malad West.
