Shashi Tharoor is a thoughtful man. He has the highest regard for his country. He believes that no community in India truly has a majority status. There is within this nation only a vast diversity of lineages and creeds. I share this view. I believe that the critical divide in India has always been between the few privileged minorities who hold a disproportionate amount of wealth and power, and the many underprivileged minorities who form the majority of its population.
