Here we go again! When will our people in power realize that They cannot be above the law? This is yet another example of misuse of power, and the no comment remark by the CM only goes to prove that he can not be trusted. That is why we need an independent office of an independent department with the power to investigate and prosecute misuses of authority. The Lokayutka was supposed to have this authority, here again the Chief Minister has places his corruptly rotten finger in appointments to this body which was supposed to investigate and prosecute people including the CM who misuse their power for personal gain.
Mr. Parrikar, you promised honesty and transparency when you were seeking election. Now that you are in power, you seem to be as corrupt as your predecessor. When will you realize that it is the people of Goa who you represent and it is their interest that you were elected to protect. Where is the transparency? Honestly I believe that at the next election, we should rid ourselves of this dishonest politician who is gradually but surely showing his true colours.He does not deserve the trust of the people of Goa and he must therefore be voted out of office. This is the only way that eventually, those seeking election will realize that they are there to do the People's work and not to enrich themselves and their families and friends at the expense of the people of Goa. As I have said, eventually we will get the right caliber of people elected to parliament who will work for the people and not for themselves. When the Parliamentary system of Government started, Politicians were called 'Honourable', and worked without pay just for the honour of presenting the views of their constituents and truly working for the welfare to their constituents. Now it appears that politicians seek election just to enrich themselves and their families at the expense of the people. This must stop. We the People (AAm AAdmi) must be represented honestly and have Parliamentarians who truly understand their role as being the reprentatives of the people and not representatives of themselves.
