The Book Club will meet to discuss The Book of Joshua on Monday 29th April at 
8.15 p.m. We will celebrate the life of Joshua who is no longer with us. The 
next book we will
be discussing is No Time Like The Present by Nadine Gordimer.

Literati will then close
for the summer break from 1st May to 3rd June 2013.

Mull Avaz” a compilation of traditional Tribal folk songs with 
introduction on different Tribal concept such as Mand,� Dhalo, Intruz, Fugdi,
���on 28th April, 2013 at 5.30PM� in Cindio’s� Paradise open Air Hall, 
Quepem� at the hands of

presence of Goa Konkani Academy President Shri Pundalik N. Naik, Goa University 
Sociology professor Alito Sequeira, Vice

Simoe and local �Cultural Artist Smt. Josepha Fernandes.� Ex-Vice president of

                                        speak on the book. The songs in the 
book are centered around the Christian Gawdas which are Phonetically 
Transcribed in Devnagri script.

                                        Before the release of the book ceremony 
there will be performance of �selected cultural folk �dances of Tribal 
Community such as Dhalo, Fugdi, Kannar Khell and traditional

                                        Intrumez songs. The special feature of 
the function will be wecoming the �guest by a folk song called 
“Yesre” which was�� sang by the women of the Christian Gawda
                                
                                        �
                                
                                        Community at the time of welcoming the 
newly wedded couple in the house bridegroom on the day of the marriage and on 
the bit of traditional drum such as Dholl, Taxe and
                                
                                        �
                                
                                        Kasali.
