Narendra Modi the great polariser There is no doubt about his ability to polarise the masses but not the members of BJP, It is causing a storm in the party and fissures about his being nominated as the Chief or campaign manager Modi is feared about his past in Godra Riots , but since then he has won 3 election victories in Gujarat with no shadow cast on his victory The BJP have later reconciled to their earlier stand on riots and had come to an understanding about his real position, He has asked for forgiveness from people, if he had committed a mistake and which will not be repeated but that is not considered as an apology per se. Thus far no court of law has convicted him of the crimes he has been accused of .The massacre of Sikhs after the assassination of Indira Gandhi has washed away the blood on the hands
He has the haunting past like any other. The present is what has catapulted him to the National Scene with aplomb. The future is as elusive, unpredictable, uncertain, but the present is what gives hope and not the past . It is only human who are capable of change and discard the unwanted baggage To capitalise, glorify the hoary past is sure way to discredit the future and is borne out of jealousy and envy. The contribution of Advani are a legend, but at his ripe age of 85, his life`s ambitions to hope for unfulfilled dreams are just untenable, The greatest opposition to Narendra Modi is unfortunately springing from within his party The other leaders pale into insignificance with his all India stature. The attempt to confine him to Gujerat is a silly, unproductive idea Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitely are rightfully feeling abandoned, side-lined with their seniority and representations in both houses of Parliament as the leaders of opposition, They can curry favour with the BJP members in the legislatures It is doubtful whether they would be acceptable and cut ice with the masses at all India level. Many other stalwarts in BJP of yest er years have passed the prime and are loath to make way for the younger generation. The remarks of Mr Parikar that decision on Modi should be time bound,. Politicians should call it a day after 65 years, and Modi factor can increase votes by over 3% , enough to form the next BJP Govt at the centre are very significant observations. The dissent within the party is a sign of democratic right, but the Congress is having the last laugh. At heart, they know very well, what an uphill task it is to match the novice of a choice to the giant of Narendra Modi, a seasoned politician. Their prospective candidate enjoys family inheritance; He has not assumed any responsibility in the Govt. and feeling shy to be tested in political hot waters at his age. All the Congress politicians are putting on hypocritical act in vouching for the leadership of Rahul to please his mother at the best What India of 21 century needs is not lessons on ideal secularism as an empty shell, but development and hope for the young to realise their dreams in future .Congress and UPA II are mired with controversies of monumental corruption scandals, still unfolding by the day, This is enough fodder to cut UPPA and its allies to size, But unfortunately BJP is doing the propaganda for the Congress in disguise, Why Narendra Modi the villain is acceptable in the Gujarat only and hailed by all and sundry of BJP? The BJP with its divisive policies is jeopardising its own bright chances to dislodge the UPA II and its corrupt rule. BJP has miserably lost in some states recently and that has dented the image of the party. Modi is now receiving, praise, acknowledgement attention from outside sources His progress and governance has come in for appreciation .Though corruption is a major plank for the BJP, its own people Bangara Laxman, Yedurappa, and Nitin Gadkari have not covered BJP in glory on corruption issue .Narendra Modi is the tallest leader as of now, Any opposition on riots and secular platform can be effectively countered There is need to put up an united front of all sections of BJP, if they want to make a dent in UPA II, or the chance of being in power will be frittered away on a platter to UPA II NDA allies have to take a realistic approach to the nomenclature of Modi and amicably settle their differences, without egos and personal, unrealistic ambitions BJP being the biggest party must be allowed to have a major say.
