In 1961, India invaded Goa by giving a lot of assurances to the International Community and false promises to Goa/Goans that their identity would be preserved. What we see now is (A) the systematic looting of Goa's rich mineral resources by Delhi's Corrupt Politicians via corrupt Goan politicians, greedy Mine owners etc. (B) SALE of Goa to Black Money rich India and corrupt National politicians (C) Destruction of our beautiful environment, water resources and what not! We could have been amongst the most richest/beautiful state in the World, but the pathetic/corrupt Indian political class is bringing Goa to a sewage/filth state.
We had lot of hope in now Current Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and voted for change in Goa; to Save our state/community; but it appears these politicians are the same. The Regional Plan which was supposed to be priority, is deceitfully sidestepped by the BJP to favour MOPA. I think that there are huge National corrupt stakes in this new unwanted airport and this is clear example of where I feel that we have pseudo democracy in Goa, and what matters most is that the National Politicians and Non-Goan big business men want; of course they have Goan pimps (Politicians/Vested Interests) in Goa to are selling Goa out. The biggest indicator of Goa as Failed state is the high rate of Goans migrating out of Goa, leaving Goa to be ruled by rogues and Anti Goans. Of course I know many of my Non-Goan professional colleagues in the Indian Metros, who are also fed up with the Indian Corrupt system and are migrating. Taxes are only being increased to feed losses via corruption. I think we have to seriously think outside the box beyond the current pathetic political framework, else Goans be ready to lose Goa!!
