Using full-track JCB excavator to dredge out the multitude of Ganapatis
deposited at this point is a harebrained idea that someone has got to pay
for.
Certainly, the taxpayer's money cannot be wasted on mindless exercises like
these.
With GSRP around, pipe bridges on tidal rivers shall be banned [ the one on
the NH17 in the vicinity of the Mapusa bridge is the cause of heavy
siltation of the Mapusa river] and those built already shall be removed.
Innovative floating universal 'bucket' type river dredgers shall be
commissioned to dredge Goa's rivers of the damaging mining silt.
Mindless, half-baked exercises like the above shall be paid for by the
decision takers from their own pockets.
