Some time ago I reported http://bugs.gobolinux.org/view.php?id=386 and http://bugs.gobolinux.org/view.php?id=388 . Rootless doesn't work (for me at least) on linux, due to what I'm assuming are missing CFLAGS settings.
I have added a patch to issue #388 which sets these settings. In the patch, I also incremented the arbitrary Rootless version number. I think it would be appropriate to move the StartRootless script outside of the CreateRootless script, for the purpose of tracking these kinds of updates. Rootless could either be a separate recipe/package, allowing existing rootless users to upgrade to new versions with the standard tools, or the Rootless program could be abolished and StartRootless could be kept inside Scripts and updated alongside it. Does this seem appropriate to anyone else?
