realizado uma ou duas vezes ao ano e já sacrificou quase 10.000
animais.
Já foi feito um pedido ao MP de Goiás para que impeça esse sacrifício
mas o promotor local negou seguimento ao pedido. Foi então informada a
corregedoria do MP de Goiás que até agora não se manifestou.
Os animais estão sem comida desde o dia 2 de maio, para emagrecerem e
manterem o aparelho digestivo limpo.
No Brasil, a legislação relativa ao uso científico de animais está à
frente da legislação da maioria dos países: A Lei n. 6.638/79 declara
nos itens I, III e V do artigo 3º ser a vivissecção proibida nas
seguintes condições:
- Sem o emprego de anestesia
- Sem a supervisão de técnico especializado
- Em estabelecimentos de ensino de 1º e 2º grau e em quaisquer locais
freqüentados por menores de idade (caso desse hotel)
A Lei de Crimes Ambientais (Lei n. 9.605/98) declara em seu artigo 32
§ 1º "Incorre nas mesmas penas (detenção de 3 meses a 1 ano, e multa)
quem realize experiências dolorosas ou cruéis em animal vivo, ainda
que para fins didáticos ou científicos, quando existirem recursos
alternativos." A lei não se cumpre pois não há fiscalização.
