>From the recent "Career Money Leaders Update" post,
I have extracted some statistics.
Number of golfers who played 6/6 tournaments: 1
5/6 6
4/6 10
3/6 14
2/6 57
1/6 196
Notice that 196 golfers played one tournament and never again,
while 88 tried a second time. A similar trend is emerging for
the TPR tournaments:
Number of golfers who played 3/3 TPR tournaments: 20
2/3 48
1/3 175
Number of golfers on leaderboard
--------------------------------
santa 35
irc 11
even 51
tpr00 82
tpr01 128
tpr02 121
What do these figures mean?
Since most golfers play once and never again, and lacking an
infinite supply of Perl programmers, I expect the number of
regular tournament golfers to stabilise in the next few months.
But at what number? Your guess is as good as mine, but I
guess the average number of golfers on the leaderboard for
TPR Sep/Oct/Nov will be 97.42. It might be fun to see some
other guesses and to see whose guess is the closest.
Here are the hard-core golfers.
