At the risk of being called a SPOILER, I feel the current
tournament schedule is not sustainable in the long term.
It is putting too much strain on too many people (who I
happen to like :) and I don't want to see any more people
rushed to hospital with golf-related illnesses.
I suggest the TPR events be held every two months.
The off-month can be spent on many things: analysis of
previous games, Games::Golf module, writing quality Golf
articles for TPR (it's impossible to write a sensible
analysis of a golf tournament in one page).
Here is my proposed schedule:
Feb
Apr*
Jun
Aug
Oct
Dec*
* Indicates a golf "major" (Dutch Masters and Santa respectively,
for reasons of tradition). The golf "major" is a multi-hole
course; the others are single hole courses.
Of course, I can simply choose to play every second tournament
and not spoil the fun for those who prefer monthly golfing.
I am suggesting this out of concern for people's lives,
health (and sanity;). Anyway, I am interested to hear
what others think.
