Larry started his talk by telling us that he wrote the title before writing the talk, and then went on to talk about the science of perl, which I suppose will be ostensibly the same talk as he will give at YAPC::E, so I won't say any more about it. Except to say that golf got a few mentions. In particular as something from which Perl draws ideas, and as one of the hard sciences, along with Physics, Quantum Physics and Chemistry.
