Hey Joe -- I'm sorry to say that this feature isn't supported in the AJAX Search API. Please file an issue so that we can remember to look into it. I can't guarantee that it will be changed, though, so I wouldn't advise waiting for it. http://code.google.com/p/google-ajax-apis/issues/list
