To whom it may concern, Hi, my name is Seung-Jin Lee from ESTsoft Corp., developer of Toolbar named “ALToolbar.”
Regarding using your open-source Google translation API in our ALToolbar, I would like to ask some questions. First, please follow this URL. http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/services/language/translate?v=1.0&langpair=en|ko&key=ABQIAAAALVmB5JwGnblf1n_8mhi5_BQBs2dVm_GO8wmySZi-6xN65ZXpXBTkVqmcTUd2pKFBQaAZBSa1s9aiNg&q=asia As you can see, the word “Asia” is well-translated into Korean word “아시 아” because en(English) was set up in langpair=enlko. If en(English) is not set up, lanpair will be written as langpair=lko, so the results become “numbers.” In our product, we do not set up “original” language. Google toolbar does not set up an original language either, but the language is recognized in the page. We would like to know the way Google toolbar recognizes the language in the page. Second, when we make translation, words such as '{', '}' turns into '(', ')' irregularly. We would like to know how to avoid this problem. This issue does not occur at all times, but irregularly, the pair of Parenthesesdoes not match.
