Are you using a "Custom Search Engine" (CSE)?
If so, visit this page:

http://www.google.com/cse/manage/all

If your Custom Search Engine is listed there: Click the "control
panel" link, click "Look and feel", and (under "Choose a hosting
option") select either the "Iframe" option or the "Google-hosted page"
option.

Choose the "Google-hosted page" option if you want search results to
be listed on a page provided by Google. After selecting that option,
click "Save", click "Get Code", and use the provided code for your
search box(es).

If instead you want to display CSE search results on a designated
"results page" on your own site, try the "Iframe" option. The Iframe
option provides two code snippets: one for your search box(es), and
the other to place the results in an iframe on your designated results-
page.

The default "Search Element" (a.k.a. "Custom Search Element") option
normally puts the results on the same page as the search box. (It is
also possible to implement a separate results page using the Custom
Search Element; but this requires some additional code which isn't
readily provided in the CSE control panel. One such implementation
was described in a March 2010 post in the old AJAX APIs blog.)
