You can display as many of the results simultaneously as you like, but you still have to make the sequential requests. There is no workaround to get past the limit of 8 results per page from the API. Also, you should be advised that the Image Search API has been deprecated as of last week. They will continue to support it for up to 3 years, but you may not want to invest all that much time into developing applications for it.
