The Feeds API caches feed data so that it doesn't have to make as many requests to the feed's server. The documentation used to say that this cached version would generally be updated no more than once every 60 minutes, with higher-traffic feeds being updated closer to hourly than others. So I guess that the question that needs to be asked is, how "dated" is the data that the API is returning?
