Well, this is truly strange. I'm not sure what's going on, but here's what I've discovered: if you call customSearchControl.setResultSetSize with a number as the argument (e.g., 4), it applies to the image searcher. But if you submit google.search.Search.SMALL_RESULTSET (which translates to 'small'), it doesn't apply to the image searcher. I'm trying to contact the writer of the script, but it's still a bit early for him.
