Unfortunately, the Feeds API runs on a totally different backend architecture than the newer APIs which tie into the Discover API. So in order to bring the Feeds API into the Discovery API, it will have to be rebuilt from scratch. You can assume that the team is working on this. We may even hear about it at I/O in a couple of weeks. But you can also bet they will announce something only if and when they are ready.
