The only way to do what you're wanting to do is to override the function which generates the html node for each entry in the feed. However, since the Feed Control is incorporated into the Feeds API code, which is compiled Javascript, it's a rather tedious job. Almost certainly, you will spend more time working through the obfuscated code than you would to simply write your own control. I would suggest, therefore, building your own control which is based on the API.
