The project is being moved to TinyReport:
http://code.google.com/p/tinyreport/

The project consists of two libraries
1) tinyreport-core - this is the core reporting runtime that takes a
report xml file, runs queries and renders a report
2) tinyreport-birt - this library will take birt .rptdesign file and
convert it to a format that tinyreport can read

TinyReport has a much smaller, more well defined scope - read and
execute BIRT reports in AppEngine. I just kicked off the project about
two weeks ago. Luckily G2 provides a good code base to start from. I
would say it is a month or two away from beta. If anyone is interested
in helping out let me know
