PersistenceManager pm = PMF.get().getPersistenceManager(); Key key = KeyFactory.createKey(MyEntity.class.getSimpleName(), "t...@example.com"); MyEntity myEntity = pm.getObjectById(MyEntity.class, key); When there is no entity matching the key, it throws JDOObjectNotFoundException. Is there no other way, than catching the Exception (JDOObjectNotFoundException) - like checking for existence of Entity before calling getObjectById?
