Is there any reason why most App Engine jars (those delivered by
Google) just store class files?

BTW Datanucleus jars use compression and for example appengine-sdk-
plugin.jar's class files are compressed (but for this one there is not
really any benefit as it is very small).

appengine-tools-api.jar and others huge jars would really benefit in
terms of storage if compressed.
