Hey everyone, I wanted to let you all know that we've updated the docs to show examples using the Low Level API:
http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/java/datastore/ This includes many improvements such as official documentation about using the AsyncDatastoreService! We believe that explaining datastore concepts using the low level API makes it easier to grasp datastore concepts and helps developers understand how to solve persistence problems in a non-relational manner. The documentation will continue to show examples in JDO/JPA, though we will be more aggressively maintaining the documentation for the low-level API.
