It is a NetBeans project, but you can also just use apache ant to compile if you change the "appengine.location" in nbproject\ant-deploy.xml to the path to your SDK. ant runserver should compile and then start the dev server although the dev server isn't that helpful in this particular example because it doesn't implement the full OpenID stuff.
