You're right, I think it's very confusing or maybe even annoying if a user has to login two times on two different Googlish-looking login pages... And from a developer's point of view it would be much easier to spice up an already existing appengine application with some social features if one could just use a Python API to Friend Connect with an user object already present within appengine.
