It would appear that JVMTI support both from a Java agent (-javaagent) and native agent (-agentpath, -agentlib) perspective is not supported within the runtime. This seems an extraordinary decision especially considering that Google will be charging based on resource usage. It is like getting a monthly phone bill without any itemized list of individual or aggregated charge analysis.
