I saw that java appengine use JDO or JPA (datanucleus) What this means is: If i plan to not use appengine in a moment in time i will be able to run my application with a relation databse like mysql or postgres ? So Db layer code does not know if beneath is google's bigtable or some relational database ? Ok logic will be like for a denormalized database....but...is possible ?
