Another thing to consider is GoogleFileService. It is an app that breaks a file up into 1 MB chunks.

I tried GoogleFileService 4-5 months ago and it worked fine. With newer GAE code, I think there is a small problem with a transaction trying to save two objects from two different entity groups.
