Thanks for the replies. I'm new to all of this, but doesn't the async method still have a deadline of 10 seconds from when the "urlfetch.make_fetch_call" is made?
Now since the call goes to my server and then my server could take 15 seconds to run it's task and retuen a simple "Data Added OK" or "Data Removed OK" response I can't see how using async will help at all. As I say, I'm very green so I may be missing the point completely, so sorry if I am.
