Does that happen everytime on the blobstore only api? or regular text - > datastore?
One more thing, there is a huge difference on how the text is being displayed on the datastore dashboard. are you sure its being saved as base64? the page encoding for the production datastore browser is massed up and cant display hebrew correctly in oppose to the local dev version which has utf8 encoding display.
