HI I am not seeing any problems at the moment, but I believe you when you are saying you are having issues.
I have witnessed on numerous occasions where a deadzone in appengine occurrs when only a few instances are affected and so it is quite hard to get anyones attention, because the problem is not widespread. I feel for you. (I would suggest you log a production issue, that might get you noticed.) Also possibly on irc.
