Hi Sundar, I was also getting this issue but after trying what David and Ikai's have suggested, and now I no longer have the issue.
I first tried just removing derived_file_type: - python_precompiled from app.yaml, but that alone didn't mitigate the problem. I then tried running --no_precompilation (as David suggested) and it worked.
