Strange, I never get asked for a mobile number. When I click 'Create New Account' I'm asked to enter an email, password, birthdate, and a captcha. Clicking next takes me to an 'Account Creation Confirmation' page, but never back to the app (or any app engine pages) -- which is the bug I referenced.
