It will never the last.

It reachable depends on your location and the request domain, eg:

 * your domain CNAMEd to ghs may reachable sometimes
 * subdomain of appspot.com most likely GFWed.

It never gets uptime > 99.9%, don't even think about it.
Face the reality, stick to front proxy.
