We have used enterprise support in the past and premier account now. They 
have been quite responsive. I understand that it costs more. But, it is 
worth investing if your business needs it. But, it is wrong to accuse that 
Google does not provide support at all.

For people starting to use app engine, building most of your datamodel on 
cloud SQL and moving just the high volume models (usually they are 1 or 2 
tables only) to bigtable might be a good idea. It reduces learning curve 
and unknown to just the frontend runtime which is quite stable, IMO.
