We've been experiencing latency issues over the last day. As of about 16 hours ago, latency started rising to 24s for the average request and it has now returned to about 4s, which is way too high.
Earlier in the day we had many datastore timeouts, and I can see that this was an AppEngine datastore latency issue here : https://code.google.com/status/appengine/detail/datastore/2014/09/25#ae-trust-detail-datastore-get-latency But although the above page shows that datastore latency has returned to normal and we are no longer getting 500 error from timeouts, our request latency is very high. Here is our latency graph: http://i.imgur.com/obUyWaO.png That version was deployed 2 days ago. You can see that our usual latency is far below 4 seconds.
