App Engine now supports Nodejs under a beta release <https://cloud.google.com/appengine/docs/standard/nodejs/quickstart>. The tutorial goes though setting up an sample application <https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/nodejs-docs-samples/tree/master/appengine/hello-world/standard>. Can you post screenshot of the 500 server errors and app.yaml you are using after removing all personal and sensitive information as it is not clear how you are configuring the yaml file.
