You may find related information on the "Connecting to a Redis instance from an App Engine Flexible Environment application" page <https://cloud.google.com/memorystore/docs/redis/connect-redis-instance-flex>. App Engine applications must be in the same region as the Redis instance and on the same network to be authorized to access the Redis instance. You can't connect to a Cloud Memorystore for Redis instance from App Engine standard environment applications.
