One such request was created about a year ago http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=470. Unfortunately not many people saw it, it seems. Plus, it was categorized incorrectly as a defect. Could somebody at Google perhaps re-categorize it as an enhancement request?
