On the "Google Apps Provisioning API Developer's Guide: Python" page, http://code.google.com/apis/apps/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_reference_python.html, (as well as other languages) there are links to XML responses from an API call, such as a "UserEntry" XML response or a "NicknameEntry" XML response.
All of these links point to: http://code.google.com/apis/apps/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_reference.html, which does not have any of the sample responses. All of the sample XML responses are on the developers protocol page, http://code.google.com/apis/apps/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_developers_protocol.html. The new language specific, Provisioning API pages are great. However, the Provisioning API reference guide, http://code.google.com/apis/apps/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_reference.html, is really confusing. It starts out OK, but ~half way down, in the XML Tag Definitions section, it starts to fragment and make no sense. Maybe it's intended for an audience with XML/Atom/RSS domain specific knowledge.
