Hi All, This notice is to inform you that the Provisioning API 1.0 will be deactivated on September 30th, 2009 and you should upgrade all your tools and scripts to V2.0 before the deadline. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we offer our support during this phase for any issues you may face.
Please refer to the FAQs below for more info: - Why do I have to upgrade? The Google Apps Provisioning API v1.0 was deprecated when the v2.0 API was released in February 2007. Since then, the v1.0 API has been declining in usage, and all of the use cases supported by the v1.0 API are supported in the v2.0 API. Also, if you want any new features, such as groups support, you must use the v2.0 API. Please refer to the Google Apps API documentation and Terms of Use for more details: http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/terms/api_terms.html - How do I upgrade my API clients? If you are using Provisioning API v1.0 client libraries, you should migrate to the upgraded version of the client libraries. If you are working with the XML based protocol directly, we recommend that you start using the client libraries. This will ensure that migration efforts are minimal when we upgrade the API services in future. Provisioning V2.0 API client libraries and samples for Java, Python, .NET and PHP platforms are available for download here: http://code.google.com/apis/apps/libraries_and_samples.html#provisioningv2 The developer guides are available here: http://code.google.com/apis/apps/gdata_provisioning_api_v2.0_developers_protocol.html If you have more specific concerns about adapting your code, please post them to our support forum at: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/apps-apis - I'm using third party tools. Will they work? Please contact the developer of your tool to pass along this notice and request an updated version of the tool before the deadline. Any tool using V1.0 API will fail to function after the deadline. - Google Apps API Team --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Apps APIs" group.
