Hi Michael, I posted here since the google-apps support personnel told me to. Apparently they think it's a Google Apps API issue. I had already posted to the appengine group (see https://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine/browse_thread/thread/7433dc52a8a6922d?pli=1).
