The Admin Audit API runs on the "new" OAuth 2.0 API infrastructure. Accessing these APIs with 2LO is possible by using a combination of OAuth 1.x 2LO and your API key. The following document describes how to use 2LO with the Tasks API, but everything except for the actual API calls should be identical for 2LO with the Admin Audit API.
