Hi All
This is related to the "Updating Signature" of Email Setting API:
http://code.google.com/googleapps/domain/email_settings/developers_guide_protocol.html#GA_email_signature_main
The Documentation read as follow:
*When setting an email signature, the plain text string can be up to
1000 characters. An empty string ("") results in no signature, meaning
the signature feature is disabled. When setting or retrieving a
signature, the API accepts plain or HTML-encoded strings.*
*Question* is, any specific reason why we have this hard limit over PUT
command?
We have tried the API and is indeed it throws *400 Bad **Request* if the
signature overs 1000 characters.
If this limit is applicable across GApps, why the users still can set their
own signature over 1000 characters?
Will this limit be removed in the future? Can we have any insight on this
particular limitation?
And it seems like this API is only available for Business/Edu GApps
accounts. We hope to have some insight regarding this :)
Thanks a lot!
/Lionel
