The Documents List API interacts with the same resources that are accessed by 
Drive (and its API), so existing applications won't be affected at all by the 
migration to Drive.

It all depends on the APIs that were used.  Older APIs are being phased out and 
will eventually stop working.

It might be better to look into this and re-code so that the client uses the 
latest APIs.
