Hi Chris, The crossdomain.xml on google.com doesn't have the correct permissions setup for accessing authenticated feeds.
Many developers (and I mean many) have requested a crossdomain.xml and/or Flex/AS3 solution: http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=406 Unfortunately, at this time there's not much of a solution for Flash developers.
