Can you give an example of a query that uses the plusbox_extra_query?
I'm almost certain that is a base.google.com parameter and NOT an
API query parameter.  It's worth mentioning that searching for items
via
base.google.com will produce different results than querying for
items
using the snippets feed.

To query for nikon camera within the products item type, you can use
the
q (full text query) and bq (attribute queries) parameters:

http://www.google.com/base/feeds/snippets/-/products/?q=nikon+18-105mm&bq=[brand:nikon]...

API queries:
http://code.google.com/apis/base/attrs-queries.html
